The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has organised a meeting for Indo-China buyer-sellers in Beijing, China, from November 9 to 11, Commodity Online reported. The association has organised similar meetings in the last two years, held in Shanghai and Shenzhen.
The report further stated that in light of the success of the two earlier meetings, the GJEPC believes that there is a need for more such encounters to cater to increasing demand from the Chinese diamond industry. Just as it did in the two previous meetings, the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) is likely to extend duty-free imports to Beijing.
