- September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair review. The recently concluded 27th edition of the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair introduced a breath of fresh air to an industry hit hard by the global financial crisis. While exhibitors noted thinner visitor traffic, they acknowledged the presence of more “serious trade buyers” at the show, testifying that some markets are on the rebound and are preparing for the upcoming holiday season.
