A very Trendy and Romantic Colour- Rose Gold

by  Jasmine Webster  posted on 18 Jul 2012

2012's fashion dictators, designers and trendsetters are all wearing Rose-Coloured glasses it seems!  Fashion is appearing softer, prettier and with that delicate rose hue that seems to dub everything wonderfully romantic!

And jewellery does not go untouched by the subtle metallic overlay of rose gold!

This season, the trend to be paired with pastel hues, summer whites or dainty florals is the  covetable and wearable, Rose Gold!

(Fashion Fact: Rose gold jewelry is also known as pink gold or red gold. At the start of the nineteenth century, this alloy was known as Russian gold!)

Rose Gold is a romantic hue that is absolutely the metal of the moment!
It combines the classic wealth connotations of yellow gold with the minimalistic and modern approach of white gold and brings to the spot-light a metal that is visually softer and more versatile.

The un-tarnishable rose gold, can be worn to give a softer and more feminine appearance - it hints at flirtation, whimsical romance and the seduction of love.

Set with gemstones like blue topaz, citrine, fire opal, garnet, and green amethyst, rose gold exudes an alluring glow.
This pinkish metal is not restricted by its tone, but instead should be used to bring out the exotic sheen of the gems it is combined with.

Tanzanite, aquamarine, pearl, and diamond also look equally gorgeous in this beautiful, rosy metal.

Just as a wide array of coloured gemstones are a wonderful accompany to this metal, so is white and yellow gold!  If you enjoy mixing metals, then roses gold is a fabulous accompany to this technique.

There are no restrictions with the way that Rose Gold is worn this season, it offers the freedom to be creative with the tones you use to embellish your 2012 wardrobe choices.

Olive, fair, yellow or dark - rose gold complements an array of skin tones and gives its wearer a natural, flushed glow, creating an aura of warmth and softness all around you.

It is the seasonal choice for fashionistas, but also a wise investment as its worth is as lasting as it' other 'gold' companions (white and yellow) and its significance undeniably moves between generations - its more than just a fashion fad!
