The online trade platform, JewelleryNetAsia will offer two free digital marketing workshops for jewellery professionals during the June Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair 2012. The workshops will take place at the fairground ahead of the show’s daily opening, providing both exhibitors and visitors to the fair an opportunity to enhance their skills in digital marketing. The workshop on 22 June focuses on website essentials and the role of social media, while the workshop on 23 June delves into the world of email marketing and online promotions. “Participants can expect very hands-on sessions on how to improve their marketing activities online. With the workshops, we intend to break down the challenges of the digital environment into simple steps. We want our participants to walk away with tangible knowledge,” said Jerome Hainz, Manager of eBusiness at UBM Asia. “In the jewellery retail business, the importance of the internet is exploding and we expect quick development on the wholesale and trading front, too. Using digital channels as tools to generate new leads and nurture existing business can generate a significant advantage.” Both workshops will be held in Room S228 of the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Center.
